Duddell's London tableware

Duddell’s Michelin starred Cantonese and Dim Sum arrives from Hong Kong, served on Heritage stoneware

Duddells first opened in Hong Kong four years ago and has become a huge success, entertaining creative minds with its progressive programme of art exhibitions, music performances, and film screenings, combined with chic surroundings and high-end Cantonese cuisine. The concept has now arrived London, with a new restaurant that opened in London Bridge on November 28th.

The Hong Kong original earned a Michelin star for its dim sum and Cantonese food with a modern twist within 5 months of opening. At the helm of the London operation will be Daren Liew who has over 20 years experience of cooking Cantonese food having worked as executive sous chef with Hakkasan Group.

Duddell’s London, like its Hong Kong counterpart, will play host to art events and exhibitions. “Entering Duddell’s feels like being welcomed into the home of a great art collector – one that also happens to have an in-house two Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant, a lush 2,000 square foot Garden Terrace, and sophisticated salon with artisanal cocktails and vintage champagne.” say the founders of the first.

Heritage developed new glaze Larimar which forms part of the Strata stoneware range which will be launching at Duddells. Dishes such as Guandong crispy salted chicken and barbequed Iberico pork with honey-glazed soy bean will be served on our Strata stoneware. Duddells is the latest example of a growing trend for oriental restaurants in the UK.
