Heritage Collection tableware to feature in My Kitchen Rules TV program

A new series of My Kitchen Rules launches today. The daytime cookery competition, which will return for a second series on Channel 4, is to be judged by Michelin-Starred restaurateur Glynn Purnell and renowned chef / food writer Rachel Allen.

The hour-long cooking show will see 20 pairs of entrepreneurial amateur cooks from across the UK open their own restaurants at home in a bid to scoop £10,000 prize money. Participants must cook a three course, restaurant standard meal against the clock.

As the competition hots up and teams are eliminated, the remaining pairs will have their culinary skills put to the test at the new My Kitchen Rules mansion, where they will be joined every day by a different chef.

Heritage Collection was happy to support the show by providing our Strata stoneware to the program so that the finalists’ culinary artistry would be appropriately presented on top, fine dining restaurant standard tableware. We were delighted to collaborate in what is set to be a thrilling series!

Our friend and valued customer Glynn, holder of a Michelin star for Purnell’s restaurant in Birmingham, commented: “My Kitchen Rules UK is an absolutely brilliant TV showcase for amateur chefs who are passionate about food.” Rachel Allen added: “I’m delighted to be hosting the new series of My Kitchen Rules UK with the amazingly talented Yummy Brummie, Glynn Purnell. We’ll be judging some of the UK’s best home chefs who think they’ve got what it takes to win the grand prize.”

The show is airing on Channel 4 on Monday September 25th at 4pm and will run for an hour every weekday afternoon for 8 weeks. We’ll be watching!
